The Calgary Flames unveiled their 40th anniversary logo this morning. They announced it will be the logo painted at center ice throughout the 2019-20 season.
Fans of the Flames’ throwback look will be excited. Centered at the bottom is the original white logo from 1980 and the “40” is displayed in the number font used on the club’s retro third jersey.
They haven’t said yet whether it would also be used as a patch on the uniforms this season, as many anniversary logos are.
As for other Flames news, we’re still anticipating a white version of their throwback jersey to be worn at the Heritage Classic on October 26 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Stay tuned for that!
