This year marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the short-lived WHA—a founding member of which was the Winnipeg Jets. In honor of that, Mikael Åkerlind delivers a special concept today. He writes:

I would like to see the Winnipeg Jets go back to their original WHA uniforms. And as I really love their script logo on their current third jersey, I wish that logo as their new primary one for this rebranding. Recolored in red and blue, it also serves as a nod to their original script logo from their 1972-73 uniforms. Then I added the jet plane shoulder patches as another reference to their WHA logo history.
