Luke Woishnis has never been one to submit a traditional entry to the Concepts Showcase and that continues here as he tackles an NHL team alongside its AHL affiliate.
The Boston Bruins concept would be a great one all by itself with a blending of past and present brand elements. But he’s also added a clever redesign of the Providence Bruins with some fun visuals. He writes:
The letter “P” has never been suited to fit the layout of the 8-spoked “B” (as shown in your DESIGN DECODED 2: Minor Matters – NHL vs AHL video) so I did the opposite and adjusted the layout to fit the letter “P.” This allows Providence’s logo to have its own unique silhouette while still clearly retaining its connection with Boston. Their uniform is a stripped back version of Boston’s. Once a player is promoted to Boston, that player would have his jersey upgraded to the full Spoked-B, improved stripe pattern, and shoulder patch logos.
