This concept from Dylan Tusinski requires a little setup. Imagine a world where certain defunct NHL teams survived to today and got to take part in the Reverse Retro program.
For example, the Colorado Rockies never moved to New Jersey. It also means the Avalanche never existed. What kind of fun throwback could the Rockies dream up? Dylan decided to follow the likes of Seattle and San Jose and base the jersey on a different team from their city’s hockey history.
In this case, a somewhat convoluted setup results in the Colorado Rockies wearing a throwback to the Denver Spurs of the old WHL. And there you have it.
