With the Colorado Avalanche fresh off their big win, I started thinking about their first Stanley Cup back in 1996. It also happened to be the first season after the franchise relocated from Quebec. Had they been about to stick around one more year, the Nordiques might have been raising a banner. And maybe they never would’ve left.
