Alan Waldron serves up a great new take on the Detroit Red Wings today. He writes:

The Wings have been flirting with silver in their special event jerseys for a while now, so I thought I’d try to make a home/road kit that incorporated it. I think the silver gives the overall look a much needed new dimension while still preserving the Original Six feel. The old Cougers “D” shield on the left shoulder provides a historic touch which complements the Wings iconic logo, while the horizontal laces give the jerseys a modern touch to a throwback element. The third jersey is just meant to be modern and fun. The striping and collar match the home/roads and the logo and red stripes feature a feathered inlay.
