I’ve just about exhausted my backlog of Utah concepts, so we’ll shift gears back to existing teams for a moment to enjoy this incredible third jersey idea for the New York Islanders from Luke Woishnis. He writes:
This concept features a refreshed version of the Fisherman logo and a unique new stripe pattern for the Islanders. The updated Fisherman is framed within a porthole window, has a head of hockey hair, a pipe, and the Islanders’ NY mark on his slicker. Keeping with the nautical theme, the jersey’s new stripe pattern is based on fishing rope and ocean waves. This pattern is essentially a fun, stylized rendition of the orange, blue, and white stripes on the Islanders’ primary blue jersey. Lastly, the collar design for this concept is inspired by the collar of the Fisherman’s slicker.
