Over the past several months, Brent Hall has been taking us through his City Edition series—which I’ve found appropriate for Freak Out Fridays. The latest is an overhaul of the Penguins’ look inspired by the flag of the city of Pittsburgh. He writes:
The black sleeves represent the black stripes on the sides. The yellow base is the yellow stripe. The logo is placed inside a circle like the eagles on the flag. Castle patch on the shoulders and the blue
checkerboard used as sleeve stripes. Oh and I used the Steelers font for the jersey lettering. I really liked how this turned out overall.
