In the early 1990s after the Florida Panthers franchise was awarded, Dan Simon and Ken Loh of The Mednick Group worked on some logo designs for the team. You can hear their story a YouTube video I put together—NHL Prototypes: Designing the ’90s.

Braeden Downey, a newcomer to the Concepts Showcase, makes his debut by taking inspiration from one of those designs and gives a Miami Vice-style feel to this Panthers jersey. Feels to me like a perfect fit for this Freak Out Friday.
