Spencer Rudy set out to update the look of the Carolina Hurricanes. He writes:

I gave them a “new” logo—basically an altered version of their current one. Not much else to say about it, to be honest. The Canes should use their red uniforms more often. It’s a crime to use the black alternates and leave their red uniforms stored away like they have. I think I felt so compelled in that belief that I just straight up got rid of black entirely in this concept and replaced it with a burgundy red.
