Orion Taylor delivers an impressive new look for the Edmonton Oilers today—including a new textless crest. But it likely isn’t the sort of thing traditional fans would ever accept. And that’s why the Concepts Showcase exists.
After publishing, I was alerted to the fact that this crest design is heavily inspired by the logo for an Oilers blog called Copper and Blue. As a reminder to contributors, you may submit concepts featuring elements you did not create, but please provide proper credit when doing so—especially when it’s not a well-known logo currently or previously in use by a professional team.
