We’re back!! After a bit of a hiatus, the Concepts Showcase has returned with daily posts once again. I’ll spare you the excuses but suffice to say I had quite a busy summer and unfortunately Icethetics suffered. I just apologize and get us back in action. Lots of artists have still been hard at work delivering lots of amazing artwork.

To kick things off again, I have to turn to a designer who kept checking in throughout the summer wondering when I would start posting again. So it’s only fitting that Mikael Åkerlind welcomes us back. Here, he imagines a fresh but familiar look for the Arizona Coyotes. And I have to say I’m a huge fan. It fixes the Kachina jerseys’ biggest problem—the muddiness and lack of contrast.
