Matt Freeman makes his Concepts Showcase debut today with a fresh look for the Anaheim Ducks. Admittedly, this is not the most creative Ducks design we’ve ever seen—many artists have applied modern colors to the classic logo. But it sums up really well a great direction this team could go—and yet refuses to—with their brand. Why is that?

I wanted to see what a dark version of Anaheim’s new Reverse Retro would look like, so I came up with a home and away set for a possible rebrand in the future.
