MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey would play host to a set of back-to-back games next February, according to a report from NHL Network host and analyst David Pagnotta. He claimed the Devils and Flyers would play in one game, with the Islanders and Rangers facing off in the other.
Rumored Despite the report, the NHL still has yet to officially announce a Stadium Series game for the 2023-24 season. It’s been heavily rumored that the Tampa Bay Lightning are actively pushing to host the annual outdoor game. Florida’s humid weather poses some logistical challenges, but it’s worth noting the team’s early home was the building now known as Tropicana Field—prior to the arrival of the MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays.
